As promised, a new WaveSurgeon demo is available here.
A new demo of WaveSurgeon is due next week (beginning 10th Feb). In the meantime, download the new Möbius demo.
New WS / Möbius versions available
New versions of WaveSurgeon and Möbius have been released. New buyers will receive the updated products automatically; existing owners can request them by emailing neil@squarecircle.com. This update solves all issues mentioned in the beta version (below), as well as providing fixes for SCSI transfer.
A new demo version of Möbius (1.2)is available from the download page. This is fully XP compatible.
Some users who have updated to the latest versions of Möbius / WaveSurgeon have noticed that they are unable to view their samplers on the SCSI bus. We experienced this here too, and found that by installing the latest ASPI update from Adaptec, sample transfer occurred normally. NOTE: We recommend you read the included readme file carefully, as the update must be installed from the command line.

New Möbius / WaveSurgeon beta versions available
New beta versions of both Möbius and WaveSurgeon are now available by request.
As previously mentioned, there are several improvements:
- Look and feel improvements (especially for XP);
- Improved stability and bug fixes;
- SMP compatible for those with dual processors;
- The ability to create REX and MAP (Reaktor compatible) files;
- Improved ASPI compatibility for Windows 2000/XP (WS Advanced / Möbius only);
All registered users can obtain these new versions by emailing us.
We have new development to announce.
First up is Mobius 1.2 (available now). This is basically a maintenance release, combining all updates. All registered users should email tech@squarecircle.co.uk to obtain it.
Secondly, there will be forthcoming new releases; Mobius 1.2a, and WaveSurgeon Advanced and Basic, version 2.8. There will be no new features as such in these, apart from:
- dual processor compatibility;
- look and feel updates for XP;
- performance improvements;
- removal of the need for ASPI32.dll (Mobius and WaveSurgeon Advanced);
The idea of these release is to consolidate the existing code, and allow us to add new features more easily.
